Niva Bupa to Hike Premium for ReAssure 2.0 by 7% from June 10

Mumbai, ET Now: Health insurer Niva Bupa will revise premiums for its flagship product ReAssure 2.0 by an average of 7%, with the revised rates coming into effect from June 10, 2025, ET Now has learnt. The product, introduced in February 2023, has become a key contributor to the company’s business, accounting for nearly 18% of the overall portfolio. As per information received by ET Now, the company has duly informed policyholders about the revision in accordance with guidelines laid down by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Niva Bupa’s Gross Written Premium (GWP) for FY25 stands at ₹7,407 crore.

“ReAssure 2.0 has been our flagship product since its launch in February 2023. After 2.5 years, it will undergo its first premium revision starting June 10, 2025, with a 7% increase across all geographies and age bands. Premium revisions in health insurance are driven by inflationary pressures and shifts in customer age profiles. However, in the case of ReAssure 2.0, customers who haven’t made a claim will continue to enjoy the ‘Lock the Clock’ benefit, which locks their entry age until the first claim is made—protecting them from age-related premium increases.
