Silver price prediction: Silver price in India has hit a fresh lifetime high on Tuesday, June 17, surging to Rs 1,07,425 per kg. The white metal rallied in the international market on expectation of industrial demand rose amid a better-than-expected retail data in China. So, will the precious metal cross Rs 1.10 lakh per kg?

On MCX, the July silver contracts increased by Rs 860 per kg or 0.80% while on the other hand, silver futures on the COMEX stood higher by $0.132 per 0.36% troy ounce, hovering around $36.64. As per Anuj Gupta, Head Commodity & Currency at HDFC Securities, China's May retail sales fueled silver prices today , an ET report said.

Gupta further noted that silver prices have surged in 2025, with investors earning a 23% gain, which translates to Rs 20,254 per kilogram.

Renisha Chainani, Head - Research at Augmont noted following the sharp rally, silver is consolidating in a range of Rs 1,06,000 ($36.5) to Rs 107,000 ($37). Chainani added, the next target for the precious metal is Rs 111,000 ($38) if this positive momentum continues, as cited in an ET report.

Chainani noted the support level for MCX July silver is at Rs 105,000 per kg while resistance at Rs 111,000 per kg.

At the same time Jateen Trivedi, Vice President - Commodity Research at LKP Securities noted that geopolitics & tariffs will continue to boost the uptrend in bullion and gold's haven appeal will likely take a northward trajectory amid growing tensions between Israel and Iran, an ET report said.

At the same time tariffs have continued to be a major concern. Apart from this, the economic data from the US and India will be significantly important in determining market trends, and silver is expected to perform well as a hedge against uncertainty, much like gold as per analysts.
