Apple has rolled out a global repair program for certain Mac mini models powered by the M2 chip, after identifying an issue that could prevent a small number of units from powering on. The initiative comes in response to reports that some users were unable to turn on their devices, prompting the tech giant to take corrective action.

Only Limited Batch Impacted

According to Apple, the issue affects a very limited batch of Mac mini units manufactured between June 16 and November 23, 2024. The company has clarified that no other Mac mini variants are affected by this malfunction.

Although Apple did not reveal the specific cause behind the power issue, it acknowledged that the malfunction can render the device completely non-functional.

Free Repairs for Eligible Devices

The repair coverage will remain in effect for three years from the date of purchase, offering users extended support if the issue arises in the future.
